Challenge Terms

1. Introduction

These Challenge Terms ("Terms") govern participation in Delete Litter-sponsored public community challenges offered through the Delete Litter website and mobile application (the "App"), operated by Delete Litter LLC ("Delete Litter," "we," "us," or "our").

Private, sponsor-hosted, or organization-specific challenges may be governed by separate rules, agreements, or terms, which will be provided in connection with those challenges.

By joining or participating in a Delete Litter-sponsored public challenge, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms apply in addition to Delete Litter's Terms of Service. In the event of a conflict, the Terms of Service control.

2. Eligibility

Delete Litter challenges are open to individuals with an active Delete Litter account who are at least 13 years old, unless otherwise stated for a specific challenge.

Eligibility to receive rewards is limited to participants who are at least 18 years old, unless otherwise stated on the applicable challenge page.

Additional eligibility requirements may apply and will be described on the applicable challenge page.

3. How Challenges Work

Challenges are time-bound community events during which participants log litter cleanup activities in the App within an official challenge period.

All challenges are governed by U.S. Pacific Time (PT) (IANA timezone: America/Los_Angeles). Each challenge begins at 12:00:00 AM PT on the start date and ends at 11:59:59 PM PT on the end date. Participant location or local timezone does not affect challenge timing or status.

Only activity logged during the stated challenge period counts toward challenge progress, rankings, or rewards.

Participation in challenges is completely optional and is not required to use the Delete Litter Service or App.

4. Valid Activity & Verification

To be considered valid:

• Cleanup logs must include at least one photo of the collected litter.
• Activity must reflect actual litter cleanup and proper disposal.

Delete Litter may review activity for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with these Terms.

5. Rankings

Rankings are based on objective activity metrics tracked in the App, which may include:

• Total number of litter pieces collected during the challenge period
• Total number of cleanups logged during the challenge period

Unless otherwise stated, ties are broken by:

• Participants' total number of cleanups shown on the main Litterboard
• Participants' current week streaks shown on the main Litterboard

If a tie still remains, the participant who joined the challenge team first will be ranked higher.

6. Rewards

Rewards offered in connection with Delete Litter challenges are skill-based and determined by verified activity logged during the official challenge period, in accordance with these Terms.

Specific reward categories, amounts, eligibility criteria, and any sponsor involvement may vary by challenge and will be described on the applicable challenge page.

Participants must meet all eligibility requirements, including age requirements, to receive a reward.

7. Reward Limits & Allocation

Each participant is eligible to win only one reward per challenge.

If a participant qualifies for more than one reward, the reward will be issued for the highest qualifying category, and the next eligible participant will be selected for the remaining reward(s).

Participants may receive no more than one (1) reward within any six (6) month period for challenges sponsored by Delete Litter, regardless of the number of such challenges entered, in order to promote balanced distribution of rewards across the community.

Participants may not receive more than US$500 in rewards within the same calendar year from Delete Litter-sponsored challenges.

8. Reward Delivery

Eligible rewards will be issued via email within 30 calendar days following the end of the applicable challenge, subject to verification and eligibility confirmation.

9. Verification & Final Determination

All rewards are subject to verification by Delete Litter based on activity logged in the App and compliance with these Terms.

Delete Litter's determinations regarding eligibility, rankings, and rewards are final.

10. Safety Disclaimer

Participants are solely responsible for their own safety while performing litter cleanup activities. Delete Litter is not responsible for injuries, damages, or losses arising from participation in challenges.

11. No Guarantee of Rewards

Participation in a challenge does not guarantee receipt of a reward. Rewards are limited and subject to the conditions described on the applicable challenge page.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, consistent with Delete Litter's Terms of Service.

13. Changes to These Terms

Delete Litter may update these Challenge Terms from time to time. Updates will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. Continued participation in challenges after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
